Safety Surfacing Accessories
Safety surfacing accessories are used by playground owners to both enhance the look and cleanliness of their playground as well as to increase the life of their playground surfacing.

Borders
Borders are often installed around the perimeter of a playground to help contain loose-fill surfacing and to provide a finished look to the playground. They are available in either plastic or rubber construction with heights ranging from 4” to 12”.
Mats
Rubber mats are used to minimize the amount of loose-fill mulch that is kicked out from under swings or at the ends of slides.
Drainage Systems
Site water drainage systems are installed under loose-fill surfacing when additional drainage is required. This prolongs the life of the playground surfacing and improves the look and usability of the playground by preventing standing water on the playground surface.
Geotextile Fabric
Geotextile fabric is often installed under loose-fill surfacing when a barrier is required between the surfacing and the material it rests upon. This prevents grass and weeds from encroaching on your playground from underneath the mulch.
