Installation of Unitary Surfaces
Bonded Rubber and Poured-in-Place are both made out of small bits of rubber that are mixed on site with a binder or glue and then installed by hand and trowelled smooth. The thickness of the rubber can be varied to match the fall height of the equipment and a variety of shapes or designs can be incorporated into the surfacing.
Synthetic Turf and Rubber Tiles are manufactured in a plant and are then cut to fit and glued together on site. They also come in a variety of thicknesses to match the fall height of the equipment.
Unitary surfaces can be installed indoors or outdoors over a subsurface of concrete, asphalt or compacted aggregate. Learn how we can also help install your subsurface. Unitary playground surfaces should be installed by trained professionals.
